
Christina Fullerton Jones Owner/President
Christina, the wife of past-President, Robert H. Jones, took over the ownership and daily operations as President in October, 2004. No stranger to the construction industry (she is the daughter of the late Kansas City architect, William B. Fullerton), she directs the daily operations, oversees contract negotiations, and manages personnel.
Her education includes a Bachelor of Arts from William Woods University, and a Master of Arts from UMKC. Further work has been completed in the graduate area of Business Administration.
Previous work experience spans 35 years in public relations, journalism and education, as well as at the HAJ office part-time for 20 years. She also has her own Internet business, Rubys Legacy.
Christina has served as chairperson on many volunteer projects within the community. She is a member of the Womens Federation of Clubs, the Minority Contractors Association, Kiwanis, the Independence Chamber of Commerce, and the Independence Pioneers Chapter of the DAR.
Ricky E. Gard, PLS
Rick has been a Registered Land Surveyor since February, 1982. With 34 years experience in boundary and engineering surveying, he began working for HAJ in April, 2004. He received his Hazardous Waste Site Operations Training Certification in March, 1998. He has been a member of the Missouri Association of Registered Land Surveyors since 1982.
Rick's duties at HAJ include: direct supervision of survey crews; performing small lot surveys; large boundary surveys containing hundreds of acres; ALTA surveys; lot splits; plats and subdivisions; engineering and construction surveys that include data collection for the design and construction of streets, storm sewer systems, detention basins, sanitary sewer systems and water lines; analysis of field evidence data to determine boundary location by state statute and legal principles; writing and review of legal descriptions and easements; and review/checking of drawings.
Past projects that Rick has worked on include: boundaries; engineering design; construction layout; horizontal and vertical control surveys in Kansas City, Springfield, and St. Louis metropolitan areas; road relocation design surveys at Truman Reservoir; horizontal and vertical control and design survey for Big Blue River Channel Project from the Missouri River to Gregory Boulevard; design survey GM Fairfax Plant expansion; topographic surveys at Fermi Lab near Chicago; hazardous waste remediation at Weldon Spring Army Ordinance Plant; and subdivisions (Arborwalk, Lee's Summit; Robinson Meadows, Kansas City; Citadel Center, Kansas City, Woodland Shores, Lee's Summit; and others).
V. Alan Heady, PLS
Alan has held Missouri and Kansas registrations as a Professional Land Surveyor since 1989. He returned to HAJ in September, 2006 but has a total of 24 years experience in boundary and engineering surveying and has been a member of the Missouri Society of Professional Land Surveyors and the Kansas Society of Surveyors since 1989.
Alan's duties at HAJ include: direct supervision of survey crews; performing small lot surveys; large boundary surveys containing hundreds of acres; ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys; lot splits; plats and subdivisions; engineering and construction surveys that include data collection for the design and construction of streets, storm sewer systems, detention basins, sanitary sewer systems and water lines; analysis of field data to determine boundary location by state statute and legal principles; writing and review of legal descriptions and easements; and review/checking of drawings.
Recent past projects that Alan has worked on include: various boundary surveys, ALTA/ACSM Land Title surveys, engineering design surveys and construction layout throughout the Kansas City metropolitan area, as well as in Pettis County, MO (Sedalia Memorial Airport); Lowe's of Liberty, MO; Lowe's of Kansas City, KS; Eastland Center; Blue Parkway Town Center; Kensington Farms, Lee's Summit, MO; and Chapel Ridge Mixed Use Development, Lee's Summit, MO. He is well qualified in traditional surveying methods, solar and celestial observations to determine True North as well as Geodetic Positioning Systems (GPS).
Danny R. Gard, PLS
Dan has held Missouri registration as a Professional Land Surveyor since February, 1992, and Kansas registration since November, 1992. He began working for HAJ in February, 2005. He has 29 years experience in boundary and engineering surveying and has been a member of the Missouri Society of Professional Land Surveyors since 1992.
Dan's duties at HAJ include: direct supervision of survey crews; performing small lot surveys; large boundary surveys containing hundreds of acres; ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys; lot splits; plats and subdivisions; engineering and construction surveys that include data collection for the design and construction of streets, storm sewer systems, detention basins, sanitary sewer systems and water lines; analysis of field data to determine boundary location by state statute and legal principles; writing and review of legal descriptions and easements; and review/checking of drawings.
